ArcheAge Closed Beta in This Month
Trion Worlds recently announced that the second ArcheAge Alpha server will go live this week. This "Omega" server will be located in North America, as the Amsterdam server is currently being used for Beta preparation, and it will feature an internal build of Patch 1.2. Server transfers won't be available.
Due to our hurry to get feedback from players on how the gameplay feels, it will not contain the Trion-specific game changes mentioned previously on the forums (such as Gilda Star rewards for international trade routes).
As you probably know, the Beta was postponed for a few weeks, but today Trion said that "Closed Beta Events will be starting in mid-to-late July." These events will last three to five days each and access will be gained by random invitation or Founder's Pack purchase. During this period you can expect a lot of giveaways and an European server.
An all-access Open Beta phase will follow these events, after which we'll wipe the servers of all progress and data to begin Head Start and launch later this year.
